Fall is here!

Wow, so maybe you were thinking I had fallen off the earth? Nope, just too busy with life in general over the last little while, but I'm back now! :) Like all of you, I am starting to gear up for the holiday season, so Christmas doesn't sneak up on me! Here is a card that I saw and just loved, made by Darlene DeVries. I CASEd it, but changed it's birthday theme to a Christmas one, using our blingy glitter paper! Also I didn't have the "woodgrain" stamp, so I had to hand draw the "wood" look on the "trees". I got that idea from Lynn Pratt. Let me know what you think!! Ok, so I am officially ADDICTED to paper crafting!! Every time I see something I like, I just HAVE to find out how its made and make my own! The latest example of this is this adorable birdhouse!! Just too sweet!! And easy too! Isn't it cute?!

Bride's abound!

I'm so excited to say that I just finished making my first paper Gerbera Daisies for a Wedding Shower this week! I was asked to make 10 in blues and greens. What do you think? Anyway, that and summer itself inspired to do a bunch of wedding cards with a stamp set I just acquired. So many possibilities! The next wedding I'm attending is not until October, but I'll be ready!! :)

Mr & Mrs Froggie!

Last night, I happened apon the cutest little guy that one talented lady, "Frenchie" had made and posted a pic of. Well, "froggie frenzie" took over my house and now everyone has a frog!! Had to post a pic of our "Mr & Mrs" frogs! They just make you smile!!! :) Enjoy!

Summer fun!

Wow, so I guess summer is finally here! What beautiful weather we have been having lately! I love the warm summer nights! Love getting good use of my deck and seeing all the flowers!

We haven't had a lot of rain lately, but came across this card and thought I would try it anyway. It is my first attempt at "Crystal effects" and they are awesome! Great idea! If you try using them, a tip for you - when you put a drop of color into the crystal effects liquid, use a needle to swirl it through. It works tons better than a toothpick! :)

I saw this card made by Terry Morelli and HAD to make it. It was supposed to be for springtime, but.....I got too busy. :)

Happy Graduation to both my girls!

This week, one of my daughters will Graduate from Grade 8 and the other from Grade 12. I am so very proud of both of them, so I had to find the perfect card to make for them and came across this card, made by Jackie Topa and thought, perfect! I made one with the diploma for my Grade 12 graduate and the one without for my Grade 8 graduate!

Happy Graduation, girls! I'm so proud of you! :)

What a fun party!

Wow, we had so much fun at my Tropical Party! We had some good laughs and got to make these fun items too! Thanks to Becky Roberts and Sherianne Buehler for the designs! Next month, we will be making the Gerbera Daisy below, as well as another cute item I will post later.

Tonight I am adding a picture of my "mascot". Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love giraffe's, so when I saw this, I had to try to make it! I found the directions, but I did not have many of the punches needed to create this fine creature. So, what did I do? I winged it! I freehand cut many of the pieces I needed, so I hope it looks ok!!

Tropical Fun Party!

The other day I was on a website and fell in love with the Gerbera Daisies that someone had created!! Naturally, I just HAD to find out how to make these gorgeous, life-like flowers with all my Stampin'Up! stuff! Luckily, I found a tutorial on Shelley Bohan's blog that just blew me away!!
